The Ukrainian Defense Forces used drones to strike the Ufaneftekhim oil refinery in the city of Ufa, Bashkortostan.
Videos and photos of the fire at the refinery were published on local channels and shared by Exilenova+. The footage shows a massive fire, reportedly at one of the primary oil refining units.
Ufaneftekhim is the largest, most modern, and technologically sophisticated oil refinery within the Ufa Oil Refining Complex operated by Bashneft. It is located in the northern industrial zone of Ufa.
The facility has the capacity to process over 9.5 million metric tons of crude oil per year. The refinery’s crude oil processing depth exceeds 95%, which is one of the highest rates in Russia.

The plant’s facilities include hydrocracking, delayed coking, catalytic cracking, and reforming units.
Ufaneftekhim produces high-octane automotive gasoline, various grades of diesel fuel, and jet fuel. The company also produces petroleum coke, liquefied gases, and aromatic hydrocarbons for the neighboring Ufaorgsintez plant.
The refinery’s products support civilian infrastructure and military logistics in the central and eastern regions of the Russian Federation.
