Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech has received codification from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense for its Bebradrone unmanned aerial vehicle.
The company shared this with Militarnyi.
Obtaining codification allows the UAV to be officially procured with state budget funds for the needs of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Military units have also been authorized to purchase the drones directly for front-line combat missions.
The Bebradrone is a fixed-wing aircraft-type drone designed to perform missions at medium ranges.
The UAV has an operational range of up to 45 km and can reach speeds of up to 150 km/h.
The drone can carry a payload of up to 7.5 kg and has a flight endurance of at least 30 minutes.
The attack drone is launched using a compact pneumatic catapult developed and manufactured by BlueBird Tech.
The operator controls the drone in real time, receiving live video and telemetry data from the aircraft.
The Bebradrone is to receive a terminal guidance system and camera stabilization, which are being developed in cooperation with the Brave1 cluster.
BlueBird Tech also unveiled a new version of its fixed-wing UAV called the Bebradrone KIT.
The new system is based on the Bebradrone airframe, which has already been tested in real combat conditions.
