Ukraine Launches Production of Fuel Refueling Trucks on Renault Chassis

Army fuel-refueling trucks are being manufactured in Ukraine on French Renault truck chassis.

Sofia Chernova, a representative of Renault Trucks, shared this with Militarnyi in a comment at the Eurosatory international exhibition in Paris.

The vehicles are manufactured at one of the Ukroboronprom enterprises.

“They purchase chassis from us, install their equipment, and deliver them to the Logistics Forces of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine,” the representative said.

She also added that supplying chassis to Ukraine has a positive effect on the company’s image.

“Because the military already knows this vehicle well and does not complain about it at all, and on the contrary, they are satisfied,” Chernova added.

At the exhibition, Renault Trucks presented a fuel-refueling truck that it handed over to Ukraine in 2022 and that has already traveled 220,000 kilometers.

According to the representative, the Ukrainian military does not repair the supplied trucks themselves.

They are maintained and repaired at the company’s service centers across Ukraine, where spare parts are also supplied.

Meanwhile, Renault will produce long-range drones for Ukraine in cooperation with the defense company Turgis Gaillard.

At the same time, the company declined to comment on the contract cost or the number of drones planned for production.

The drones will be produced at Renault factories in Le Mans and Cléon.
