Ukraine will develop a multifunctional missile system that will combine the capabilities of using various weapons within a single platform.

Colonel Andriy Zhuravlev, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Missile and Artillery Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, the key idea of the project is to create a universal system capable of performing a wide range of combat missions depending on the type of weapon used.

As an example, Andriy Zhuravlev cited the American multiple launch rocket system HIMARS, which uses both GMLRS guided munitions and ATACMS tactical missiles.

At the same time, Ukraine is actively developing other types of missile weapons.

In particular, the Sapsan tactical missile system, the Vilkha multiple launch rocket system, and the Neptune system with the so-called long missile, which is currently undergoing a full cycle of testing, are being improved.

The Ukrainian company Fire Point is also developing the FP-7 tactical ballistic missile and the FP-9 short-range ballistic missile.
