Ukrainian Engineers Presented a Drone Armed with an Assault Rifle at Eurosatory

A drone capable of firing an automatic rifle at the enemy and dropping mortar rounds has been developed in Ukraine.

A representative of OM Defense Systems shared this with Militarnyi at the Eurosatory exhibition.

“This is a version of the Drone Squad Fury, which we are using to demonstrate that this unmanned aerial vehicle can serve as a platform for various weapons,” the company explained.

The platform can be equipped with a submunition pod containing an automatic rifle or mortar rounds weighing up to 15 kg.

The drone can also be equipped with various communication systems—a Starlink terminal, or analog or digital radio systems.

The version with an automatic rifle was developed at the request of Ukrainian special services. However, the variant with small arms did not demonstrate sufficient effectiveness.

“We built it, transferred it to them, they tested it, but then they switched back to conventional munitions delivery. Our main goal here was to demonstrate that we can implement virtually any solution on this drone,” the company shared.
