Ukrainian company Phantom Defense has developed the Mangal modular FPV drone interceptor system.

The system was presented at IT Arena, Dev.ua reported.

It is designed to provide air defense for positions, facilities, and military equipment against enemy drones.

The interceptor fires a weighted net that expands on launch, physically entangling and bringing down the enemy drone.

The module contains six charges.

The Mangal system

The system is equipped with two cameras that provide visibility and situational awareness.

Automatic target detection significantly speeds up threat detection for the operator.

The system can be deployed at stationary positions, including checkpoints, trenches and infrastructure facilities, or mounted on vehicles.

The company says the first production models will enter the market within months.

Earlier, Postup Solutions presented the Scan Horizon autonomous FPV countermeasure system, which also includes a net gun.
