Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense is launching the Defense AI Center “A1,” a dedicated hub to quickly integrate artificial intelligence into the military.

The project is being developed in partnership with the UK government, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced on social media.

Experts at the center will analyze battlefield data, anticipate enemy moves, and build autonomous systems. The team will also develop new digital tools to improve command and control on the battlefield.

This is the first step in building a full network of similar centers. Soon, dedicated teams will be set up to work on drones, artillery, long-range strikes, and other key areas.

The mission of these units is to continuously study combat experience and modern technologies. Their main aim is to move from idea to a ready solution faster than the enemy.

This will help rapidly deliver innovative weapons and software directly to military units.
