The Turkish TAI Hürjet advanced trainer jet made another test flight with the landing gears up configuration.

Turkish SavunmaSanayiST.com publication announced this on its Twitter account.

As part of a series of test flights, the aircraft took to the air, where it successfully raised the landing gear struts and continued to move.

It was its ninth test flight to end successfully.

Hürjet advanced trainer and light combat aircraft is developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries.

The aircraft is currently undergoing a series of tests.

The designers consider this aircraft an important milestone in Turkish aviation development. Due to it, the industry moved to implement the more ambitious National Combat Aircraft program.

Militarnyi previously reported that the aircraft made its first flight on April 25, 2023.

The Hürjet is the first jet military aircraft developed in Turkey.

It is expected to enter service with the Turkish Air Force by 2025 after completion of testing and development work. 16 aircraft should be manufactured at the first stage.

They should replace T-38 and F-5 aircraft. The Turkish Air Force also plans to receive Hürjet in a light attack aircraft version, which will be designated Hürjet-C.
