U.S. President Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the participation of American forces in joint military exercises with South Korea.

The U.S. president shared his statement and position in a post on Truth Social.

Trump justified his position by citing the high cost of the exercises to the U.S. budget and their provocative nature toward North Korea.

The President highlighted the positive state of relations with Kim Jong Un, noting that North Korea had shown restraint and respect during his time in office.

Since the exercises could not be fully canceled, Trump ordered a significant reduction in their scale and directed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to implement the order.

In addition, Trump mentioned that he had proposed that the president of South Korea join efforts to denuclearize Iran, but the South Korean leader declined.

As previously reported, the U.S. Navy is considering significantly redesigning its new Ford-class nuclear-powered aircraft carriers to better align with President Donald Trump’s aesthetic preferences.
