The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported that three helicopters had burned down in Russia, one in Samara and two in the Moscow region.

The intelligence officers also showed a satellite image of damaged aircraft of the Russian Federation.

According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, on July 24, 2024, an Mi-8 multipurpose helicopter burned down at the Russian Kryazh military air base in Samara.

And a few days earlier, on July 21, 2024, two more Russian helicopters, a Mi-28 attack helicopter and a Ka-226 multipurpose helicopter, were shot down in the village of Tomilino near Moscow.

The two helicopters were located on the territory of the Russian National Helicopter Center Mil&Kamov in the Moscow region.

The intelligence noted that this Russian military aviation enterprise was engaged in the development, production and repair of helicopters.

Helicopters Mil&Kamov site operates the following facilities: two design bureaus, a pilot production facility, a research and development complex, and a test flight base.

It is claimed that the destroyed and damaged helicopters had been used by Russia in the war against Ukraine.

“Local residents of Samara, Tomilino and the neighboring suburbs were very confused by the explosions, but the Russian authorities are trying to hide the causes and consequences of the explosion and fire,” the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine emphasized.

Anonymous sources in Ukrainian intelligence told Ukrinform that the damage to military helicopters on the territory of the Russian Federation was the result of sabotage.

As previously reported, on the morning of Thursday, July 25, a Mi-28 attack helicopter crashed in the Kaluga region of Russia, having killed the crew.

On Saturday, July 27, a Su-34 fighter-bomber allegedly performing a routine training flight crashed in the Volgograd region.
