Ukrainian drones struck the bunkers and hangars of the Tsimbulova drone base in the Oryol region.

Satellite images from September 21 showing the aftermath of the strikes were published by the Telegram channel Absolutely Reliable Source.

Some drones penetrated the bunkers, and several hits resulting in detonations and damage to hangars were also recorded; debris from destroyed UAVs was found at the launch preparation site.

The Tsimbulova drone base is a large Russian military facility near the village of the same name in the Oryol region, designed for the storage and launch of attack UAVs.

Construction began in August 2024, and according to investigators, the first launches may have taken place as early as the fall of that same year.

By 2026, the facility had been significantly expanded: satellite images show numerous launch pads, storage facilities, and other infrastructure, specifically for the Geran-4 and Geran-5.

On the night of August 30, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against Russian military storage and launch facilities for attack drones at the Tsymbulova drone base.
