On the night of April 21, drones from the SSU’s Alpha Special Operations Center struck the Samara line-production-dispatch station in Russia.

The strike triggered a massive fire, sources in the SSU told Ukrinform.

At the station, located in the town of Prosvet in the Samara region, high- and low-sulfur crude oil from various fields is blended to produce the Urals export grade. The facility is a key component of Russia’s oil transportation infrastructure.

According to preliminary data, SSU drones damaged five tanks, each with a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters, containing crude oil.

“Damage to such key facilities directly reduces Russia’s ability to assemble export shipments of oil and fulfill contractual obligations. The balance of raw materials is disrupted, logistics and storage costs are rising, and there are risks of supply disruptions,” the source shared.

Vyacheslav Fedoryshev, the governor of the Samara region, confirmed the attack.

“Dear residents, last night, enemy forces made another attempt to attack an industrial facility in the Samara region. Emergency services are working at the sites where the UAVs crashed,” the governor reported.
