Six strike drones attack ammunition depots in the Tver region

Six strike drones attacked ammunition depots in the city of Toropets, Tver region.

The ammunition depots were attacked at around 3:30 am by six strike drones that successfully hit their targets.

After the attack, local residents heard a loud explosion and saw a bright flash, followed by a fire.

It should be noted that the attacked facility is military unit #541690 (107th Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation), which stores a large amount of ammunition and has been attacked by drone strikes before. The depot is located at coordinates 56.501445922689484, 31.72182505540685.

The facility stored 122mm rockets for Grad multiple rocket launchers, 82mm mortar rounds, and other ammunition.

According to local authorities, including Igor Rudeny, governor of the region, six attack drones attacked the Tver region. However, he did not provide any detailed information on the crash site or comment on the fire on the territory of the military unit.

The governor also claimed that the situation was now under control and recommended that residents of nearby settlements evacuate to neighboring towns and cities as a matter of urgency.

The military unit was attacked for the first time on the night of May 5 and the second time on July 29, when two attack drones exploded on the territory of the military unit, causing a fire.

Currently, all firefighting crews have been dispatched to localize the fire. It is also reported that due to the severe fire, the local population of the neighboring village of Tsikarevo is unable to evacuate because the village is surrounded by flames.

Residents are looking for boats to evacuate on their own across Lake Kudynske as the fire is rapidly growing.

At the moment, firefighters are unable to start localising the fire due to the threat of ammunition detonation. Local residents report that the sounds of detonation can still be heard.
