The latest Ukrainian strike on the Tuapse oil refinery completely destroyed four large storage tanks for petroleum products.

This is evidenced by Planet satellite images published by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty journalist Mark Krutov. They show the refinery on April 21 and 30.

The images also show the complete destruction of the surrounding infrastructure and two additional smaller tanks.

As a reminder, on the night of April 28, Ukrainian drones struck again at the Russian oil refinery in Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai. A massive fire broke out at the site of the strike.

Local authorities officially confirmed the new attack and the fire at the refinery, citing “falling debris” from drones. More than 120 people and 39 pieces of specialized equipment were deployed to extinguish the fire.

According to eyewitnesses, the drones attacked the refinery from the sea at low altitude. Residents of Tuapse heard numerous explosions, after which a massive fire broke out on the refinery grounds.

Earlier, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed and damaged most of the storage tanks at the oil refinery in Tuapse.

Of the total fleet, which consists of 47 tanks with a capacity of approximately 159,140 m³, 28 units have been destroyed or seriously damaged.

The oil refinery in Tuapse is considered one of Rosneft’s most technologically advanced facilities.

The plant is capable of processing up to 12 million tons of oil per year with a refining depth of about 98%—an extremely high figure for the industry.

Also, on the morning of April 30, Ukrainian Liutyi strike drones attacked a Russian oil refinery in the city of Perm.

This is one of Russia’s largest oil refineries, “Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez,” which processes over 13 million tons of oil annually.
