Russian kamikaze drones of the Shahed type have gained a new function – distributing propaganda materials. Instead of PTM-3 anti-tank mines, containers with leaflets are now mounted under the aircraft’s wing.
An ejection charge is left in the containers, while the mine itself is replaced with packs of printed materials, reports the Mines and Coffee with Sandwiches! Telegram channel.
The release mechanism remains unchanged: an electric impulse activates the charge, which scatters the leaflets over the designated area.
The propaganda distributed in this way is aimed at influencing the morale of Ukrainian servicemen and spreading disinformation.
The drone’s warhead remains unchanged – it contains over 30 kg of explosives capable of causing significant destruction.
As previously reported, Russian Shahed kamikaze drones have received a new warhead – one with a liquid incendiary mixture.
The warhead has no official name. It is filled with a red‑brown liquid incendiary mixture, likely napalm.
