Russian military constructing pillboxes in Svatove direction

Russia is equipping long-term defensive positions (Pillboxes – ed.).in the Svatove direction, Luhansk region.

Russian defensive lines are also formed by ditches, trenches, and dugouts.

Pillboxes are created using reinforced concrete sections that have embrasures.

The size of the embrasure allows small arms fire. Embrasure was equipped with “steps” that could intercept shrapnel and bullets.

Defensive lines are reinforced by square-pyramidal concrete fortifications.

These concrete pyramids of Russians ​​belong to the anti-tank ones, they are called dragon`s teeth.

Anti-tank detentions are used to keep tanks in a location where artillery can destroy them.

To effectively stop tanks, the dragon’s teeth must be placed in several rows in staggered order and be dug in.

Russian ones do not dig in, are installed in lines and can be blown away by armored vehicles.

By themselves, anti-tank barriers cannot stop armored vehicles, only detain them. Their effectiveness depends on which means are combined with them.

To strengthen forces in the Svatovo direction, modern Russian Т-90М “Proryv,” Т-80BVM and T-80BV tanks were transferred.
