Russian invaders’ breakthrough into Kupiansk ended in their death or capture

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have driven out the remnants of the Russians from Kupiansk, who had made a breakthrough into the city.

A video of their elimination and capture was published on the official Telegram page of Khorne Group.

The elimination of enemy infantry was carried out in close cooperation between external pilots of reconnaissance drones, assault infantry groups and tanks.

The hiding places of the Russians were discovered thanks to the reconnaissance drones of the Khorne Group unit, which guided other units to them.

The first phase of the battle ended with the surrender of the Russians, and those who refused to surrender were eliminated by fire from 125 mm tank guns.

The Russian troops were fortified and subsequently repelled at the coordinates 49.71009909863538, 37.63423565313716, on the left bank of Kupiansk.

It should be noted that recently, Russian troops have been concentrating significant forces on the Kharkiv direction, where units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces have been inflicting significant losses on enemy armored vehicles.

In October 2024, the Achilles attack drone battalion, in cooperation with the Burevii National Guard Brigade and the paratroopers of the Naddniprianska Brigade, destroyed 17 units of occupiers’ armored vehicles.

The battalion also detailed enemy losses:

• 8 infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed;
• 3 tanks were destroyed;
• 6 infantry fighting vehicles were damaged;
• 21 Russian invaders were eliminated;
• 26 Russian invaders were wounded.

Earlier, on October 18, Militarnyi reported that in the Kharkiv region, the Defense Forces had managed to push occupiers back from the outskirts of the village of Kruhliakivka.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence reported that the operation had involved the fighters from the Bratstvo unit and the 77th Separate Airmobile Brigade.

The operation to regain control of the area important for the defense of Kupiansk lasted from October 7 to 14, 2024.

During the assault, the Special Forces were able to take the Russian forces prisoner.
