The military eliminated Russian soldiers who were trying to occupy houses in the Ukrainian city of Toretsk.

Soldiers of the 4th Battalion of the 101st Guard Brigade Of General Staff said that the fighting was taking place in a dense multi-story building.

In Toretsk, Ukrainian infantry had to face Russian paratroopers at close range.

The Russian invaders are trying to advance from one house to another held by the Ukrainian military.

Nevertheless, the Ukrainian troops managed to eliminate Russian infantry and restrain the invaders’ advance in Toretsk.

“Dense multi-story buildings pose additional challenges. Nevertheless, the work continues,” the military reported.

Urban battles can be fought on three levels. Conventionally, on the asphalt, on the floors, and in the underground utilities.

The Ukrainian General Staff said that the enemy tried to advance several times in the Toretsk area with the support of bomber aircraft.

The Ukrainian troops also blow up multi-story buildings with anti-tank mines that the invaders enter. This should prevent the occupiers from suffering significant losses and stop their advance in Toretsk.

In September, in Toretsk, soldiers of the Lyut Brigade also used similar tactics. They stormed buildings and blew them up to hinder the advance of Russian troops in the city.

At the end of September, the first information appeared that the Russian invaders had entered the territory of Toretsk.
