The Russian Aerospace Forces have received a new batch of Su-35S fighters.

Photos and videos of the handover were published by the United Aircraft Corporation, a subsidiary of Rostec.

The footage shows at least two new fighter jets.

The Su-35 is a Russian 4++-generation multi-role all-weather fighter jet.

To engage air and ground targets, the aircraft uses R-77, R-73, and Kh-31 missiles, guided bombs, and a 30-mm GSh-30-1 automatic cannon. The main component of its onboard avionics is the “Irbis-E” radar system with a passive phased-array antenna, capable of detecting targets at long ranges.

Russia uses the Su-35 primarily to provide cover for strike groups of Su-34 fighter-bombers, to intercept Ukrainian UAVs and cruise missiles, and to counter Ukrainian air defense systems.

As a reminder, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine released data on 79 companies involved in the production of Russian Su-35S aircraft.

Twenty-two companies on this list are not yet subject to sanctions from any of the countries in the sanctions coalition.
