Russian occupying forces are preparing to try and capture Kharkiv and are strengthening the troops’ positions by bringing the new units in.
Militarnyi informs about it.
Russian occupying forces are preparing to attack the Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation zone, said Oleksandr Motuzianyk, Ministry of Defense Spokesman, on April 4.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine notes that at the moment, the main efforts of the Russians are focused on restoring their offensive potential in specific areas.
“The main focus of the Russians is to prepare and resume their offensive operations to surround the Ukrainian army and seize the city of Kharkiv.
The invaders are reinforcing their positions from the Western and Southern military districts in the Slobozhansk and Donetsk operational districts. To do this, they are both sending troops from the other military districts and involving the mobilization reserve units.
The Russian army is also establishing routes for troops logistics, creating stocks of ammunition, missiles, and fuel, and preparing the medical facilities to receive a large number of wounded soldiers,” Motuzianyk mentioned at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
Previously, in the South of the Kharkiv region, the 93rd Separate Kholodnyi Yar Mechanized Brigade inflicted enormous losses on the Russian army during the liberation of one of the settlements.
Ukrainian soldiers published photographic evidence of the destruction of over fifty units of various equipment.
The 93rd Brigade claimed the Tor surface-to-air missile system as a trophy.
The destroyed equipment includes numerous trucks, several BTR-70s and vehicles based on them, BTR-82A, BMP-3, and tanks.
The Ukrainian military had seized yet another re-supply vehicle from the heavy flamethrower system of the TOS-1 family.
