A Russian drone deliberately pursued a man selling vegetables in Kherson and exploded right next to him.

The National Police of Ukraine reported that the man survived the attack.

The victim was identified as Yuriy, a 52-year-old resident of the Mykolaiv region.

According to medical personnel, the victim was diagnosed with a concussion and multiple shrapnel wounds to the torso, both sides of the chest, and both upper limbs.

All injuries are superficial, so his life is not currently in danger.

According to the victim, he used hand gestures to signal to the drone that there were only vegetables around. However, this did not stop the operator.

“The man in the video shows no signs of being a combatant — he was simply selling products at the market. Yet, for the military of the aggressor country, he still became a target,” the National Police of Ukraine stated.

Law enforcement officials reported that they are taking all necessary measures to properly document this latest war crime.

“Russia’s ‘human safari’ must be stopped in Ukraine and certainly must not be spread to other countries. Finland and Kazakhstan, the Baltic states and Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, as well as Romania and Moldova — all should cooperate to ensure real security guarantees and bring an end to Russia’s war closer,” Volodymyr Zelensky stated on his social media accounts.

An analysis of Russian social media indicates that the invaders have effectively admitted their involvement in this crime. The drone operator could clearly see that his target was a civilian. This is confirmed by a post on the Telegram channel “From Mariupol to the Carpathians.”

The invaders admitted to the strike

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, over 46,000 war crimes and crimes of aggression have been documented in the Kherson region.

Militarnyi reported that some of the commanders responsible for terrorizing the civilian population with drones in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions have been identified.
