The 37th Air Defense Division of Poland’s 3rd Warsaw Air Defense Brigade has reached full operational readiness.

Poland’s Minister of National Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, announced the milestone.

The unit operates U.S.-made MIM-104 Patriot surface-to-air missile systems acquired under the Wisła air defense modernization program.

The Wisła is Poland’s medium-range air defense program based on Patriot systems integrated with the IBCS (Integrated Battle Command System).

The program enables the integration of radars, sensors, and launchers into a single network, significantly enhancing overall defensive effectiveness.

On September 16, 2025, the 37th Division conducted its first live-fire exercises with Patriot systems at the Ustka training range on the Baltic Sea coast.

These were also the first live-fire exercises of this type of air defense system conducted outside the United States under the control of the IBCS system.
