Poland is preparing the 47th military aid package for Ukraine worth around €200 million.
Piotr Łukasiewicz, the head of the Polish Embassy in Ukraine, stated this in an interview with European Pravda.
He said that the weapons and equipment included in that aid would be delivered in the coming months.
Łukasiewicz also said that the previous military aid package for Ukraine was worth around €230 million.
It included ammunition, systems, spare parts, as well as other items that serve the soldiers.
In addition, the head of the Polish Embassy said what his country had delivered between 2022 and the end of 2024.
“318 tanks, 536 combat vehicles of various types, 136 artillery systems of different calibers, 10 aircraft, 10 combat helicopters. Polish Krab self-propelled howitzers and Polish tanks served Ukrainians in victories, not just in defense,” he noted.
According to Łukasiewicz, Poland has also provided Ukraine with a huge amount of ammunition, combat materials, fuel and lubricants, and spare parts.
“Obviously, these are massive volumes, totaling around €4.5 billion. For the scale of our country and our army, this is a very large amount,” the diplomat emphasized.
He acknowledges that the country delivered the most at the beginning of the war but points out that Poland continues to supply further aid packages even now.
It was previously reported that between 2022 and 2024, Poland spent nearly PLN 323 million (approx. $87 million at the current exchange rate) on Starlink for Ukraine. This amount includes the purchase of satellite internet terminals and the cost of the subscription.
At the Defence24Days conference, Oleksandr Leshchenko, Development Director of the Polish company MISTA, told Militarnyi that year the company would produce over 100 Oncilla armored vehicles for Ukraine. So far, more than 200 units have already been delivered to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
