The German company RENK Group has received an order from Finland’s Patria for HSWL 076 transmissions for the new TRACKX family of tracked armored vehicles.

The company shared this with Militarnyi.

The value of the signed agreement is EUR 30 million.

Deliveries under the new contract are scheduled to begin in 2027. In early 2026, Patria had already ordered the first pre-production batch of these transmissions from RENK.

The vehicle has a combat weight of about 15 metric tons, a maximum speed of 80 km/h, and a range of up to 500 km. The TRACKX also has amphibious capabilities and can cross water obstacles at speeds of up to 4 km/h.

The HSWL 076, developed by the German company RENK, is designed for light tracked vehicles. The transmission transfers power from the engine to the tracks and handles steering and braking.

It has six forward gears and six reverse gears. The transmission weighs about 760 kg without lubricant, and its maximum power output is 300 kW.

The HSWL 076 is designed for vehicles weighing between 13 and 21 metric tons and can reach speeds over 80 km/h.

The transmission features digital control and supports drive-by-wire technology. This means that movement commands are transmitted electronically. As a result, the vehicle can be configured for remote control, autonomous convoy operation, and unmanned operation.

Militarnyi previously reported that Finland and Sweden had signed contracts to purchase the first Patria TRACKX tracked armored vehicles, which will undergo military testing before serial procurement begins.

The current procurement continues the agreement the Finnish Defense Forces and the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) signed at the Eurosatory exhibition in June 2026. The document outlined the framework for cooperation between the two countries during the initial phase of TRACKX procurement and testing.
