The city community of Lviv will transfer 750 FPV drones to units of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces within the Lion’s Revenge initiative.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi announced this.

Due to the initiative, the Lviv City Council raised UAH 10 million to purchase FPV drones for the Ukrainian military.

According to Sadovyi, new purchases of drones of this type are expected soon, which will help our soldiers destroy the enemy.

Within the Lion’s Revenge initiative, on February 18, 2024, the necessary equipment was also handed over to the soldiers of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade.

In total, the soldiers received 133 Mavic 3T drones, 2 Starlink terminals, 1 anti-drone rifle, and 3 thermal imagers.

During the week of the meeting, the Lviv City Council managed to raise UAH 24 million, which will be used to purchase the necessary equipment for the military.

In addition, it should be noted that in 2023, local communities voluntarily transferred more than UAH 16 billion for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Regional centers, amalgamated territorial communities, districts, cities, and towns independently decided to allocate funds directly to those military units and in those areas that they considered to be the highest priority.

Thus, communities have allocated UAH 11.6 billion to meet the needs of the Ground Forces, Air Assault Forces, Special Operations Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, Air Force, and Navy.

In addition, UAH 2.53 billion was allocated to the Logistics Forces, Support Forces, Communications and Cyber Security Troops, Medical Forces, and the State Transport Special Service.

The communities also allocated UAH 750 million for the needs of other military formations, including military educational institutions and the military law enforcement service.

In addition to these amounts, the local authorities allocated another UAH 1.3 billion to the state budget to cover the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
