Paratroopers from the 77th Airmobile Brigade destroyed a Russian Msta-S self-propelled artillery system.

The press service of the 77th Airmobile Brigade reported on this.

The enemy artillery system was destroyed in close cooperation with the unit’s aerial reconnaissance, which detected, identified, and transmitted the target’s coordinates.

Despite the enemy’s attempts to disguise the artillery system, the military managed to detect it, after which it was hit by an FPV drone.

According to the press service, the Russian Msta-S self-propelled artillery system was hit while loading ammunition.

Due to the presence of powder charges and high-explosive fragmentation shells in the artillery unit’s ammunition, a strong fire started, followed by a powerful explosion.

In addition to the self-propelled artillery system itself, a truck used by the enemy to transport ammunition was also destroyed.

The Msta-S self-propelled artillery system was hit in the Borova sector in the Kharkiv region.

It should be noted that the enemy has recently begun to suffer significant losses in self-propelled artillery, as the number of FPV drones in the Defense Forces has increased significantly.

Militarnyi previously reported that the Ukrainian military and the invaders released videos and photos of at least 9 Russian military ACS destroyed in May-April.

It is worth noting that this number includes only artillery systems that were captured on video or photos in the public domain.

The main means of destruction were FPV strike drones that carry a powerful explosive charge.
