Units of the 95th Air Assault Brigade deployed mine clearing vehicles to break through the border with Russia.

The relevant footage was published on the official YouTube channel of the Air Assault Forces of Ukraine.

The breakthrough took place near the village of Medvezhye, the Glushkovsky district, the Kursk oblast, where units of the 95th Brigade crossed the border in an organized manner.

First of all, the engineer units conducted reconnaissance and discovered Russian mines.

To create a safe corridor, the UR-77 mine clearing vehicle was used, which allowed Ukrainian equipment to safely enter the Russian territory and make a breakthrough.

The border crossing took place at coordinates 51.247147, 34.662574.

The UR-77 Meteorit mine clearing vehicle is designed to create passages through minefields up to 6 meters wide. The Meteorit is based on the tracked 2S1 Gvozdika chassis and has been in mass production since 1978.

The charge is a 7-centimeter-thick, 93-meter-long rope filled with an explosive inside.

The chassis holds two launchers for the DM-140 missiles and compartments with the UZP-77 or UZP-67 detonating cable.
