Oshkosh Defense presented FMAV (Family of Multi-mission Autonomous Vehicles), a new line of autonomous multi-purpose combat vehicles, at the AUSA 2025 exhibition.
These vehicles are capable of launching Tomahawk, GMLRS, PrSM missiles, and Switchblade 600 loitering munitions, according to Naval News.
The X-MAV (Extreme Multi-mission Autonomous Vehicle) was showcased with four Tomahawk missiles.
It has the same firepower as the Typhon launcher but surpasses it in mobility and off-road capability, making the platform suitable for operations in challenging conditions.
Based on the FMTV A2, it is an autonomous MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) launcher.
It launches GMLRS, ER-GMLRS, PrSM, ATACMS missiles, and MFOM munitions, including the Joint Reduced Range Rocket (JR3).
Designed for tactical support and counter-drone operations.
It is equipped with Switchblade 600 drones and the BlueHalo Titan C‑UAS system, enabling it to simultaneously conduct reconnaissance, strike operations, and counter hostile drones.
According to the developers’ concept, all three vehicles can operate autonomously or in coordination, forming a mobile fire‑support system with minimal personnel involvement.
Oshkosh Defense representatives emphasize that the FMAV family was created as a flexible platform for future long‑range strike systems, combining high mobility, autonomy, and versatility.
Oshkosh recently unveiled an unmanned multiple‑launch rocket system mounted on the ROGUE chassis.
