Orders for RS-80 missiles for the Armed Forces increased five times

According to the new State Defense Order, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine five times increased the order for the Armed Forces for unguided RS-80 missiles.

The press office of the “Artem” State Joint Stock Holding Company announced the conclusion of a new contract for its products.

In February 2020, after several years of testing, the Armed Forces of Ukraine approved domestic 80mm unguided RS-80 aircraft missiles designed to defeat ground targets.

During the approval trials, missiles launched from ground platforms, helicopters and aircraft, the results of which recognized their compliance with tactical and technical characteristics.

RS-80 designed to destroy enemy manpower, armored vehicles, fortifications and other targets. To ensure the most effective destruction of the enemy, the engineers of the “Artem” SJSHC provided equipment for РС-80 with various warheads and detonators.

RS-80 unguided missiles accepted with a cumulative-debris warheads and RS-80GMM for training non-explosive warhead.

In November 2021, Artem Company reported on successful trials of test samples of a thermobaric warhead with explosively formed penetrator for RS-80.

The development carried out as part of the project of equipment for various warheads of the line of unguided RS-80 missiles.

On August 20, 2020, “Artem” State Joint Stock Holding Company on Independence Day of Ukraine prematurely shipped the Armed Forces of Ukraine another batch of unguided RS-80 air missiles manufactured within the framework of the previous State Defense Order.

Regarding the new order, the company said:

“This is a large enough amount of work that will allow us to provide both the own capacities of our company and the capacities of our co-executors.”
