The New Zealand government has announced it would allocate $2.3 million to multinational funds supporting military assistance to Ukraine.

According to an official government statement, the funds will go to two international initiatives: the NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) and the Lativan-UK led Drone Coalition.

Officials emphasized New Zealand’s commitment to working with European partners to support Ukraine as it continues to defend itself against Russia’s full-scale invasion, now in its fourth year.

“We must continue to work with others in the international community to uphold a rules-based order that serves all our interests,” said New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters.

In addition to government assistance, New Zealand-based companies are also contributing. The New Zealand firm Syos Aerospace recently announced it would supply Ukraine with drones valued at more than $40 million, according to a report by Militarnyi.
