The French company TR Equipement has unveiled a new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 motorcycle equipped with a Belgian Evolys light machine gun.
This specialized two-wheeler was developed based on modern warfare experience in collaboration with DZP Group, FN Herstal, and Nobel Security Defence, according to opex360.
The machine gun is mounted at the rear of the motorcycle, allowing the passenger to fire while in motion.
Defense agencies in France and Belgium have already expressed interest in the new motorcycle.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is equipped with a 452 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission with a slipper clutch.
The Evolys is a Belgian light machine gun developed by FN Herstal. The weapon is available in two standard NATO calibers: 5.56×45 mm and 7.62×51 mm.
Thanks to the use of cutting-edge materials, the machine gun is extremely lightweight—about 5.5 kg for the 5.56 mm caliber and 6.2 kg for the 7.62 mm caliber.
