Great Britain handed over an additional M270 multiple launch rocket system to Ukraine.

This was announced by Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, on Twitter.

This armament equipped with modern high-precision missiles will strengthen the capacity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a full-scale war with Russia.

“UK promised, UK delivered! Our army will skillfully use this “replenishment” at the battlefield,” Reznikov wrote.

The Defense Secretary also thanked his British counterpart Ben Wallace and all the British people.

“Your support is amazing and so important for Ukraine.”

Reznikov added that more “gifts” will arrive soon. The Minister did not disclose the exact number of M270 multiple rocket launcher systems to be transferred.

Previously, Defense Secretary Ben Wallace announced that the United Kingdom will ship three additional MLRS to Ukraine, along with a “significant” number of missiles for them.

From the statement of Oleksii Reznikov, it remains unknown whether this regards these mentioned systems or those that were announced prior to the initial transfer to Ukraine.

According to Ben Wallace, this high-precision weapon is already assisting Ukraine in destroying Russian ammunition supply logistics and command centers.

He mentioned that Britain is “extremely satisfied” with the way Ukraine is using the missile launchers that were already provided by the West. According to him, the Ukrainian forces have demonstrated that they are very good at determining which objects to target so that they do not quickly run out of ammunition. Ben Wallace noted that this is part of Ukraine’s transition from using old Soviet-era armory to more modern NATO weapons.

The three countries have transferred to Ukraine rocket launcher systems capable of launching GMLRS missiles by Lockheed Martin. These missiles are used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with M270 and M142 HIMARS systems on tracked and wheeled chassis, respectively.
