The Russian Aerospace Forces have begun preparations for strategic aviation for possible strikes on the territory of Ukraine.

The AviVector monitoring project reported this.

According to available information, on December 15, two Tu-95MS strategic bombers flew from the Ukrainka airbase to the Engels-2 airbase, where they underwent armament procedures, and then flew to the Olenia airbase.

Two more strategic bombers, Tu-160s, presumably already armed, took off from the Ukrainka airbase and are heading to the Belaya airbase, where they are in a state of combat readiness.

Another specialized monitoring resource, monitor, also published similar information.

It is worth noting that two Tu-95MS bombers can carry up to 36 Kh-101 cruise missiles, while two Tu-160s can carry up to 24.

Thus, the total potential ammunition of these four aircraft can reach 60 missiles, although in practice, the full load is rarely used.

There is no information on the deployment of sea-based missile carriers to launch areas.
