The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has codified and authorized the Hromylo unmanned aerial system for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported on the official website of the Ministry.

The Ukrainian-made drone can be used to destroy manpower, military equipment and enemy field fortification.

The drone’s design consists of a composite frame, which reduces its weight, and powerful engines allow it to carry a combat charge over a considerable distance.

The FPV drone can be used in all weather conditions, day and night. According to the Ministry of Defence, the drones of the system are not vulnerable to the effects of enemy jamming.

It is worth noting that the Hromylo UAS was developed as an improved version of the Ukrainian FPV drone Hrim. It is capable of carrying a payload of 3.5 kg, and its maximum range is 20 km.

This performance is made possible by a large 20,000 mAh battery. The FPV drone is also equipped with a day/night photosensitive camera or thermal imager, depending on the customer’s needs.

The drone is equipped with brushless motors, which have the advantage of high speed and dynamics, a wide range of speed changes, high overload capacity, high service life, reliability, and extended service life due to the absence of sliding electrical contacts.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine had codified and authorized the use of the Vykhor FPV system in the units of the Defense Forces.

In addition, during the first 9 months of 2024, the defense ministry codified and authorized more than 140 unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for use in the Defense Forces.

The ministry also noted that, for comparison, in 2023, 60 UAVs and 9 domestically produced UAS had been codified in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defence also noted that the role of unmanned systems was growing rapidly on the battlefield. And Ukrainian weapon makers quickly respond to the needs of the frontline by producing unmanned systems for various purposes.
