Viacheslav Gladkov, Governor of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, shared that there had been a series of “loud noises” in Belgorod and the air defense systems were reportedly triggered there.
He announced this in his Telegram channel.
“Half an hour ago, a series of loud noises were heard in Belgorod. A private residential building at 23 Maiakovskyi Street is on fire… The causes of the incident are being investigated, and it is believed that an air defense system was triggered,” he wrote.
Gladkov later reported that three people were killed and four injured. 11 apartment buildings were partially damaged.
There are claims that at least 39 private residential buildings were partially destroyed, and 5 of them completely.
As previously reported, on June 22 in Russia, the Navoshakhty Oil Refinery was on fire. The incident occurred in the city of Novoshakhtynsk, Rostov region. Back then, a video was released on the Internet featuring an alleged attack on a refinery with a drone that crashed into an oil processing plant.
The exact cause of these “loud noises” is currently unknown.
