After liberation of the right-bank Kherson region and the city of Kherson from the Russian invaders, the Ukrainian military discovered a large number of destroyed or damaged enemy equipment as a result of the strikes of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
In particular, a variety of broken Russian equipment was found on the territory of Kherson International Airport in Chornobaivka.
Among other things, the modern Russian 48Ya6-K1 Podlet-K1 radar system was neutralized there.
The photos released on the network show that the antenna post on the KAMAZ chassis was damaged while performing its main function and being deployed in a stationary position to monitor the air situation.
The Russian Podlet-K1 universal mobile solid-state three-coordinate radar station was created to detect small-sized, low-speed, and low-flying air targets at low and extremely low altitudes in a system obstacle environment.
It is primarily used to detect cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as other aviation systems.
The Russians use these radars to supplement S-400 air defense systems in important directions.
The 48Ya6-K1 Podlet-K1 system includes an antenna post, a control station, and a mobile electric generator. The system is mounted on a separate KAMAZ wheeled chassis.
Testing of the first radars began in 2010. The Air Defense Forces of the Russian Federation started receiving Podlet-K1 in 2015
According to the developers, Podlet-K1 radar is allegedly capable of detecting aerial objects at a maximum distance of up to 300 kilometers and at heights of up to 10 kilometers. At the same time, the number of targets simultaneously tracked by the system is at least 200.
Today, the Russians reinforce the S-400 air defense systems in important areas with these radars. Such a radar was destroyed in July in the village of Lazurne in the Skadovsky district of the Kherson region on the Black Sea coast.
Chornobaivka was liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on November 11. The village is located near the city of Kherson. The Russians used the airfield to base army aircraft. Ammunition depots were also organized here.
