Ukrainian Air Force aircraft struck a Russian battalion command post and a group of drone operators in the town of Novohrodivka, Donetsk region.
A video of an operation was published by the Sonyashnyk Telegram channel.
The strike was reportedly carried out by a Su-27 fighter jet using a high-precision JDAM-guided aerial bomb.
The target — a building in the city’s central area — was completely destroyed.
Initial reports indicate that several enemy personnel are missing, but information on casualties among the Russian command staff and drone operators is still being verified.
In January, a similar airstrike in Novohrodivka reportedly destroyed the command post of Russia’s 2nd Combined Arms Army.
That headquarters had been located in a multi-story building, which was also completely demolished.
On April 28, a Ukrainian MiG-29 carried out an airstrike on a Russian control and launch point for FPV drones in the southern sector.
A Ukrainian reconnaissance drone had identified a building housing drone operators. Video footage showed two control antennas protruding through the roof, confirming the presence of remote piloting equipment.
The target was struck with two French AASM Hammer precision-guided bombs, completely destroying the building.
In general, Ukraine’s tactical aviation has recently conducted a series of strikes in the southern direction, targeting Russian artillery systems, assault units, and ammunition depots.
