Israel Presents ROOSTER Drone for Combat in Urban Areas

The Israeli company Robotican has presented a combat version of the ROOSTER drone designed for use in urban areas.

The updated modification combines reconnaissance and targeted destruction functions in enclosed spaces, Defense Blog reports.

The drone is equipped with a munition weighing up to 300 grams, which allows the warhead to be integrated with additional equipment adapted to a specific mission.

The hybrid design of the ROOSTER provides the ability to move both on the ground and in the air. This allows the drone to enter hard-to-reach areas and perform tasks with minimal risk to the operator.

The drone’s control system is equipped with artificial intelligence, which ensures the detection, tracking and fixation of targets.

“With the armed ROOSTER, we provide accuracy and autonomy in environments that were previously inaccessible to barrage munitions. The military can now deliver surgical strikes inside structures with a compact, intelligent platform that minimizes risk to operators and civilians,” said Robotican CEO Hagai Balshai.

The company has also integrated a multi-level safety system that prevents accidental launch and ensures that allies are protected during operations.
