Czech company KBP International has unveiled the GRYF tactical weapons-carrier drone designed to counter UAVs.
Militarnyi’s correspondent reports this from the FUTURE FORCES FORUM.
President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel and the country’s military officials attended the first public demonstration.
The GRYF can carry both interceptor UAVs and small missiles for engaging enemy drones. Both configurations were displayed at the presentation.
The drone is powered by a four-cylinder internal combustion engine and has a cruising speed of 150 km/h.
The GRYF has four hardpoints. Its maximum payload capacity is 50 kg, allowing it to carry lightweight interceptor missiles weighing around 5 kg each on each hardpoint.
For comparison, the compact Mark 1 interceptor missile weighs under 2 kg.
