On the morning of November 25, a Russian Gerbera drone crashed into a house in Moldova.

The Police of the Republic of Moldova reported on this.

Police released a photo and provided details of what happened.

According to their report, the Russian drone fell shortly after 9 a.m. onto the house of a guard working in a fruit orchard in the village of Nizhni Kugureshti, in the Florești district in northern Moldova.

An explosives team was sent to the site, and local residents were evacuated.

This morning, Militarnyi reported that Russian drones violated the airspace of Romania and Moldova on the morning of November 25 during a massive attack on Ukraine.

The Romanian Ministry of Defense confirmed these incidents and stated that fighter jets were scrambled to intercept the drones.

Later, Moldova’s Border Police also confirmed the violation of the country’s airspace by a Russian UAV.

The Gerbera drone has a foam-plastic body, which makes it easy to transport and launch. Russian forces began actively using it against Ukraine in 2024.

This UAV is used for electronic reconnaissance, kamikaze-style strikes, or as a decoy to overload air-defense systems.

It should be noted that this is not the first incident of Russian drones – and even missiles – entering Moldova’s airspace during the full-scale war.

Previously, the European Union announced that it would provide Moldova with equipment for intercepting drones in 2025. However, no details were given about the specific systems.
