Ukrainian defense company Frontline Robotics has unveiled the Frodo universal 6×6 unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), designed for logistics, evacuation, and strike missions.

The company told Militarnyi that the Frodo uses a 6×6 wheel configuration and can reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h.

The platform has an effective payload capacity of up to 200 kilograms, a maximum payload capacity of up to 400 kilograms, and a claimed range of up to 150 kilometers.

The chassis features independent adaptive suspension and adjustable ground clearance ranging from 170 to 330 mm, intended to enable movement over rough terrain. A low center of gravity improves the platform’s stability, while the running gear is designed to keep moving if one wheel is lost.

According to the developer, a single service member can replace the UGV’s battery packs. The Frodo also supports several communications channels, including Starlink, LTE, Silvus, ELRS, and TBS.

The Frodo UGV has already been codified and is now available for procurement by the Defense Forces.

The platform can transport cargo and evacuate personnel, as well as carry remotely operated combat modules.

In particular, the Frodo can be equipped with the Burya turret manufactured by Frontline Robotics. The first version of the system for the Mk 19 40 mm automatic grenade launcher was unveiled in 2024, and the company began its serial production in early 2025.

In late 2025, Frontline Robotics presented the upgraded Burya 2.0, which received a universal mount and can operate with Mk 19, RDS40, and AGS-53 40 mm automatic grenade launchers, as well as the Browning M2 heavy machine gun and its equivalents.

“We see the future battlefield as a robotic environment where it is critically important to control not only the air but also the ground. If drones have already changed the principles of warfare in the sky, ground robotics is now going through the same stage of development on the ground,” Frontline Robotics CEO Yevhen Tretiak said.

According to him, entering the unmanned ground vehicle sector is part of the company’s strategy to build a multidomain robotic ecosystem.

In February 2026, the Burya turret was integrated onto the Ukrainian ARDAL UGV to operate an Mk 19 automatic grenade launcher, including from concealed positions. In August 2025, it was mounted on the THeMIS tracked UGV manufactured by Estonia’s Milrem Robotics.

In addition, Frontline Robotics agreed with Danish-Ukrainian company Dropla to integrate the Burya turret with its Logist ground platform and jointly develop AI-based threat-detection solutions.

Frontline Robotics has also developed the Linza 3.0 bomber drone, which features visual-inertial navigation and can operate in electronic warfare conditions.

In April, the company presented the upgraded Z00m 3.0 reconnaissance UAV, adapted to operate under active electronic warfare conditions.
