The first Embraer C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft for the Czech Republic arrived at the 24th Transport Aviation Base “Prague-Kbely” following delivery by the Brazilian manufacturer.
This was reported on the base’s Facebook page.
The Czech side also ordered in-flight refueling modules and the MAFFS II fire suppression system.
According to the contract signed by the parties in 2024, a second aircraft is expected to be delivered in the future to meet the needs of the Czech Republic’s Army Air Force.

Under the contract, with a total value of 11.3 billion Czech korunas, the agreement includes not only the aircraft but also personnel training, necessary ground support equipment, and a set of spare parts.
The two C-390 Millennium aircraft will bolster the transport capabilities of the Czech military aviation, which currently relies primarily on six CASA C-295MW tactical transport aircraft.
The Brazilian transport aircraft has attracted interest from many European NATO members, including Portugal, Hungary, the Netherlands, Sweden, Lithuania, Austria, and Slovakia.
