A fire broke out at a facility producing components for unmanned aerial vehicles in the Polish city of Skarżysko-Kamienna.
Radio Kielce reported the incident, citing a local police spokesperson, as well as journalist Jakub Wiech.
The fire broke out shortly after midnight in the assembly department. Police officers and five firefighting crews arrived at the scene. The facility was not operating at the time, so no one was injured.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters. Law enforcement authorities are investigating possible arson.
According to journalist Jakub Wiech, the incident occurred at a WB Electronics facility.
The plant manufactures pump systems for unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned ground systems.
WB Electronics is the flagship enterprise and core of Poland’s largest private defense group, WB Group. The conglomerate’s companies manufacture FlyEye and FT-5 reconnaissance UAVs, as well as Warmate and Gladius strike drones.
