Over 50,000 households remain without electricity due to a fire at power facilities in occupied Crimea.
The fire occurred in the area of the 450th block, Mount Mithridates, and the villages of Osovina and Bondarenkovo.
As a result, Kerch and its suburbs are without electricity, affecting approximately 53,000 consumers.
Additionally, parts of Crimea are experiencing water supply disruptions. Local residents have posted photos showing a column of smoke rising above the city.
The occupation authorities have acknowledged the energy supply issues. Vladimir Voronkin, the so-called First Deputy Minister of Energy, stated that some settlements on the peninsula are without power.
The authorities are assessing the damage and promising to restore power within the next three hours.
Local reports indicate that the fires started almost simultaneously in the area of the 450th block. The pro-Kremlin Mash media outlet suggests sabotage as a possible cause of the fire.
This is not the first issue with electricity supply in temporarily occupied Crimea. Recently, an accident at the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant led to power outages in Sevastopol, Simferopol, Kerch, and Sudak, limiting power supply to 2-3 hours.
Power was also cut off in several settlements in the Rostov Region and Krasnodar Krai.
