Murat Dadaev (also known as Noah Krieger), a former member of the German right-wing populist party “Alternative for Germany” (AfD), announced the creation of a battalion in Russia that will consist of Germans.
This was reported by The Insider.
The unit will be called “Krieger” and, according to Dadaev, will focus primarily on countering drones and will not be deployed to the front lines.
“My path is clear: it runs through the oaks of Germany and the birches of Russia, strengthened by the pride of my Chechen blood,” shared Murat Dadaev in an Instagram post.
On July 12, Noah Krieger posted a photo with a medal presented to him by the commander of the “Storm” unit as part of the Russian veterans’ nonprofit organization “Combat Brotherhood.”
This is because he was stationed in the occupied city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and participated in training exercises on motorcycle assaults alongside Russian military personnel.
Within the party, he has championed pro-Russian views: he calls the AfD “pro-Russian,” admires Putin, opposes sanctions, NATO, and US influence, and demands the purchase of Russian gas.
