Energoatom delivers Mi-2 Helicopter to Armed Forces

The State Enterprise Energoatom handed over the Mi-2 helicopter to the military.

During the war, equipment plays one of the key roles. Therefore, providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with equipment should be one of the priority tasks.

Previously, Energoatom used this helicopter for training in case of the need to conduct radiation reconnaissance.

However, now it is more appropriate to use drones for such tasks, while a helicopter will be useful for the defenders of the country.

“I hope that he will also help our military to liberate Ukraine in general and the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant in particular, as soon as possible,” Petro Kotin emphasized.

Colonel-General Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration who was present at the handover, emphasized that there was no more important task than winning.

And for this, it is necessary to “collect and concentrate all forces and means, including technical ones. And every vehicle, and especially this helicopter, is a significant help to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So let him faithfully serve our soldiers and help bring peace in Ukraine closer.”

Roman Leshchenko, colonel, head of the management department of the Chief Aviation Engineer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, also thanked Energoatom for its support.

It is reported that, thanks to the helicopter, the personnel will be able to additionally train and improve practical skills for effective work.

As previously reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially last received Mi-2 helicopters in 2022.

Last August, the Ukrainian Air Force received two Mi-17s and two more Mi-2s from Latvia.

In the same month, the first Mi-2 AM-1 rescue helicopter was also handed over to the military.
