The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that storage, preparation, and launch sites for attack UAVs in the village of Navlya, Bryansk region, Russian Federation, had been struck.
Militarnyi analysts reviewed NASA’s FIRMS fire map and identified a fire near the drone base on August 1.
However, thermal anomalies are now being detected near the Navlya power substation, the destruction of which has not been officially reported.
It can be assumed that the substation was also hit, and due to the difficulties in extinguishing fires at such facilities, the blaze is still burning.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported on the Russians’ expansion of a launch site for Shahed-type drones in the same village in the Bryansk region, 70 km from the Ukrainian border.
The infrastructure included 19 garages for storing UAVs, concrete hangars/storage facilities, three shelters, and launch positions.
The site’s capacity allowed the Russian army to launch at least 150 Shahed-type drones in a single attack.
