On the night of July 29, drones hit power substations in the Belgorod and Oryol regions.

In general, last night explosions were heard in several Russian regions and reports of air defense operations were made.
In particular, in the Belgorod region, in the village of Tomarovka, Yakovlevka district, loud explosions were heard after midnight. Eyewitnesses reported a drone attack on a power substation.
As a result, a fire broke out at the substation, and the village lost power. The video of the fire was published on the local Telegram channel Pepel.
A video from the village of Glazunovka in the south of the Oryol region was also posted on social media. Residents of the area filmed a drone flying overhead at night, followed by an explosion nearby.
Local authorities claimed that Russian air defense had been operating in the region. Governor Andrey Klychkov said that a power substation had been damaged.
“At night, two enemy UAVs were shot down in Glazunovsky district. There were no casualties, but the local power plant was damaged. Operational services are eliminating the consequences of the air attack, and law enforcement agencies are working at the scene.”
Also at night, footage of explosions and a fire in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation was posted online. Local authorities claimed that drones had been shot down. The explosions were heard in Oboyansky, Medvensky, Solntsevsky and Pristensky districts.
Local eyewitnesses reported that the substation had allegedly been hit, but this information has not yet been confirmed.
The governor of the Kursk region, Aleksey Smirnov, reported that 12 “Ukrainian UAVs” had allegedly been shot down over the region.
In the morning, the Russian Defense Ministry said that last night air defense systems had allegedly intercepted 39 drones over the Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Bryansk, and Leningrad regions.
