Strike drones targeted a facility belonging to one of Russia’s largest industrial explosives manufacturers – the country’s sole producer of HMX and RDX.

The Exilenova+ Telegram channel published footage of the strike.

According to videos recorded by local residents, a fire broke out at the facility shortly after the drones struck. The footage shows Russian mobile fire units scanning the night sky with searchlights in an attempt to track the incoming drones.

This is not the first time the plant has been targeted as it specializes in producing chemical compounds used in artillery shells and bombs.

Additionally, on June 23rd, 2023, the facility was added to the European Union’s sanctions list. It is also under sanctions imposed by the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Switzerland.

Notably, in April 2024, the plant was targeted by strike drones, resulting in damage to an overhead pipeline and two production workshops.

The facility was attacked again on October 20th, 2024, when, according to available information, guided aerial bombs were being stored on-site.
