Satellite images have confirmed a successful missile strike on a command post of the Russian occupation forces in Donetsk.
The images were published by the Telegram channel “Absolutely Reliable Source”.
The images show holes in the concrete ceiling of a parking garage beneath an unfinished residential complex near the Donetsk City mall.
According to the channel, the Defense Forces struck the operational command post of the Center military group.
This group, formed from forces of the Russian Federation’s Central Military District, is one of the key and most combat-capable operational-strategic formations of the Russian army involved in the war against Ukraine.
Structurally, it includes the 2nd and 41st Guards Combined Arms Armies, the 90th Guards Tank Division, as well as units from the Airborne Forces and Army Aviation.
As a reminder, on August 26, the Ukrainian Air Force struck Russian army command posts in occupied Donetsk with missiles.
According to the Ukrainian command, the strikes targeted the main and backup command posts of the enemy operating in this area.
The second target struck was the building of the former UkrDerzhNDIplastmas research institute.
The Russian army has repeatedly used similar facilities in the occupied territories for its own needs due to their large area and the presence of protected underground spaces.
It later became known that Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Moiseyenko of the 41st Guards Combined Arms Army headquarters was killed in the missile strike.
The killed occupier held the position of senior officer in the Operations Directorate of the headquarters.
